As one of the original members of the National Hydrogen Association, Derek Saunders saw the future of domestic, abundent, clean fuel.
2004 - 2009
Derek Saunders, began to pivot away from a single fuel solution, to embracing fuel neutrality. While Hydrogen was clearly the fuel on the other side of the bridge that T. Boone Pickens always knew it was, Mr, Saunders knew had to support other domestic cleaner fuels that would inturn support CNG as the dominant player.
Working with Gerry Koss and other Ford executives, it became apparent that Cng was considered more of an experiment and a PR campaign, rather than the powerful transition fuel it was and still is. While Clean Energy Fuels was the dominate player in the industry, it was clearly not positioning itself properly for success.
International Cng and Beyond
Derek Saunders has designed a pathway to command a Leadership Position in the industry, We must support all fuels that migrate us away from gas and diesel. Cng is what paves that pathway. It is as clean if not cleaner than electrification, and it does not rely on a decades old GRID that cannot support aggresive EV expansion.
Building a Portfolio of Best in Class companies supported by a management team with great succeses

Dan Gage, President, NGVAmerica
Hugh Donnell Head of OEM Cummins / Wesport
This is just a snapshot of people that that are experts in the Industry. By bringing together the best commercial assets and the premier human capital, we can leverage power they bring together. Tom was one of Boone's first attornies. Dan is a powerhouse at promting all things CNG. Hugh Donnell is the most articulate and knowlegable expert in Heavy Duty over the roadCng trucks. Our goal is to bring them and others into a Joint Venture, which will: buyout existing infrastructure, marry it with state of the art fleet management, and expenentially increase Cng usage in the U.S., with the goal of Hydrogen always omnipresent.
People are talking
"My fuel is red, white and blue...What color is yours?."
"It’s cleaner, it’s cheaper, it’s abundant and it’s ours. Why not?"
"Natural Gas is the bridge to Hydrogen"
T, Boone Pickens
"CNG in its full life cycle is as clean if not cleaner than electrification. Where does a large percentage of the electricity you use in the recharging stations come from...Natural Gas Power Plants"
Hugh Donnell, Cummins / Wesport
